I know, I know, Black Friday is dumb; but since it exists, I figured I’d offer a coupon code for 10% off:

You can purchase any of the above for yourself OR as a gift certificate to give to anyone in your life who needs some Frugalwoodsy financial help. The coupon codes, which you enter at check-out, are:

One of my all-time faves from Thanksgiving 3 (or 4?) years ago

Move fast because these things expire on Monday, November 28th at midnight (12:00am Eastern Standard Time).

I’ll admit that in general, I think sales and dumb, but I do like a good coupon code. If you’ve been thinking about booking something with me–but haven’t taken the plunge yet–here’s your chance to save some $$$ in the process.

I’ve been told I’m terrible at writing marketing/sales copy, which is very true and very evident in this post. So, bear with me and just know that I’m trying to offer a discount here, but am horrific at selling myself. We all have strengths, people, and this is NOT mine…

Remind Me What This Stuff Is?

No problem. These are all brand new Frugalwoods things and I myself lose track, so here’s the rundown:

Uber Frugal Month Mastermind Groups: $300 $270 with coupon

This is a BRAND NEW way to participate in my January UFM Challenge! Join a Mastermind Group to meet once a week (on video) for five weeks with me and a small group of fellow frugal weirdos. We start the first week of January! Our agenda for each call is to review the action items and prompts from that week’s daily Uber Frugal Month lessons. But more broadly, these groups will provide opportunities to workshop financial issues, learn from each other, share challenges/successes, ask me questions and be part of a community of folks focused on improving their financial lives.

Mastermind Groups Will Address:

  • The lack of community and support you feel on your financial journey.
  • Our Thanksgiving feast a few years ago

Emotional turmoil around money–or financial trauma–that has sabotaged your past efforts to improve your financial health.

  • Complicated family dynamics and history that make it intimidating to figure out how to change your approach to money.
  • An inability to stick with the habits promoted by the Uber Frugal Month for the long-term.
  • A fear that you’re the only person who doesn’t understand financial terminology and jargon.
  • Lack of clarity on your long-term goals and how your money might impact your future.
  • A disconnect between you and your partner/spouse about how money should be managed.
  • Undesirable financial routines/expectations that you’ve set up with your kids and now want to change.
  • Shame and guilt over not taking charge of your financial life sooner.
  • The belief that you can’t learn how to manage your money.
  • Embarrassment over your lack of general personal finance knowledge.
  • How to create a sustainable money plan that you actually can–and will–follow.

Group meeting times/days to choose from (all in ET):

Thanksgiving cranberries!

This is a one-on-one video call with me during which you can pick my brain, ask me questions, and chat about whatever’s on your mind.

Here are some examples of what I do during these calls:

  • Generally discuss your finances with the knowledge that I cannot provide detailed financial advice within the confines of an hourlong call.
  • Answer your questions related to my other areas of expertise, including: how to start a blog, how to write a book, rural living, parenting, homesteading, what it’s like to be FIRE, etc!
  • This isn’t a full financial consultation and I can’t offer specific financial advice, but we can discuss your money in general terms.

No turkeys allowed in Mastermind Groups

This is also a complete Private Reader Case Study. The difference is that at this level, we’ll have four phone/video calls and I will help you gather all of your data and financial information. This is for folks who:

a) feel overwhelmed at the prospect of filling out spreadsheets and documents detailing every aspect of their finances,

b) would like the additional face time with me to thoroughly discuss their finances,

c) would prefer to work collaboratively with me on the process as opposed to on their own;

d) all of the above.

Here’s the process:

  • Go here to sign-up.
  • You’ll schedule your first call now. We’ll schedule our other three calls based on the date of our first meeting.
  • I’ll take care of all the paperwork for you.
  • After our second call, you’ll receive your written financial plan and we’ll have a third call to review/discuss.
  • We’ll have a check-in call three months after you receive your full financial plan.
  • You will go forth and confidently manage your money!

Here’s what you’ll receive:

  • You will not receive a pie, but I am happy to discuss my recipe. Although based on how bad my crusts look here, I’m not sure anyone will be interested in that…

  • Four Phone Consultation Sessions to guide you through the process of collecting your financial information:

    2. Littlewoods helping me make the pumpkin crisp!

Our second meeting is a financial deep dive. I’ll create a workbook of everything in your life related to money.

    3. During our third meeting, we’ll review your full financial plan and address questions you have about my recommendations. We’ll discuss where you’re headed financially and what future steps you can take.
    4. Our fourth conversation, which takes place three months later, is a check-in on how you’re feeling about implementing the action items outlined in your financial plan. 1. I wish I had taken a picture of my pecan pie because it looks almost EXACTLY like yours, down to the pie plate and the, um, interestingly shaped crust. I try really hard with the crust. I shape it somewhat carefully, I refrigerate it thoroughly, I line it with foil or parchment and fill it with cherry pits (my version of pie weights) to blind bake it, and in the end, it always looks like it was done by a small child. It’s very tasty, however.
