Woot

This week’s woot is all about Frugalwoods chilling out on various different parts of the world wide web.

Firstly, please head on over to 1500 Days to Freedom where Mr. Frugalwoods, Frugal Hound, and I are featured today! Many thanks to Mr. 1500 for inviting us to participate in his ongoing series “10 Questions And A Pizza Place.” We’re honored and thrilled!

10Questions

Today’s interview with Mr. 1500 is the awesomest icing on what has been an amazing week of cake-eating for our little ol’ Frugalwoods.

My “Why I’m Not Buying Any Clothes in 2014” post went sorta viral. I say “sorta” because it was humongous for us, but no big shakes for much larger blogs. The post was featured on Rockstar Finance last Friday and then got picked up by Lifehacker on Monday! This yielded our highest traffic ever and made me so excited I did an exuberant dance at my standing desk at work (my colleagues now suspect I’m even crazier than previously assumed…).

Grumble

I’m grumbling because you’re still reading this and aren’t over on 1500 Days! Git!

  1. I was SO happy to see your post picked up by Rockstar. J Money has played a large role in my blog’s success over the past year. And funnily because you got picked up by those two sites and you link to one of my posts in that article, that post has gotten crazy traffic over the last week too. So funny! I hope you guys have a great weekend!

  7. “What is the best financial move you have made?
    1) Marrying the right person.”

Bingo. Constructive interference can happen with people too.

    1. It really makes a difference, I’ve got to say. There’s just nothing quite like a partner whose views about money align with your own.
